Australia

There is probably no other country in the world with as much enthusiasm for rugby as Australia. Accordingly, the top two most attended rugby events in history took place in Sydney.

The Australian national team has been one of the leading sides in international competition for decades. The fans at he first edition of the Oktoberfest 7s in 2017 saw that firsthand: Australia dominated the tournament and crowned itself the first winner in Oktoberfest 7s history with a 40-7 victory against Fiji.

In 2019, many Australian fans will travel to Munich for the „match made in heaven“ – world-class rugby and Oktoberfest. With their thunderous support, the Australian team will do their best to repeat the 2017 triumph.
